Frequently Asked Questions About RNA Samples
Below you will find some of the questions that we are frequently asked concerning RNA samples. If you have a question that is not listed below, please contact us.
What quantity of RNA do we need to ship on dry ice for library preparation service?
For isolated cells, we require 500 ng of RNA (with an A260/280 ≥1.8) at a minimum concentration of 15 ng/µL for service orders. For PBMCs, total RNA from whole blood, and total RNA from tissue samples, we require 1 µg of RNA at a minimum concentration of 35 ng/µL.
What buffers, tubes, etc. do you require for RNA service orders?
RNA should be in nuclease-free water and shipped in 1.5 mL centrifuge tubes. Please include the identifying information of the sample on both the top and the side of the tube such as sample number, sample name, concentration, and quantity, matching the sample submission form.
